Weekend Reflections

What have you been reflecting on this weekend?

For the first time since living in the village of Faringdon i took a walk to the local Folly Park.  As ashamed as i am to admit this is the first time i've explored that particular section of my own 'back yard' my efforts were well rewarded.

Whilst ambling along i happened across a pond that was just alive with tadpoles. Seeing those little black dots brought back memories of being a child and the wonder of seeing frog spawn turn into tadpoles.

Funny I stumbled upon some tadpoles the other week at Great Falls. They were in the flood water and I only noticed them when I bent down to try to get a better reflection shot. They do make you think of childhood don't they.

How wonderful! I too remember the miracle of those little swimming tadpoles growing legs, and becoming frogs. We had symphonies at night in the spring. Thank you for sharing the beauty of the reflections, and for bringing back memories of the miracle of tadpoles!

Frederick, our frog, is back, but no tadpoles as of yet. We call all of our frogs Frederick, and all of our hummingbirds, Hector. The colors in the lily pads are lovely.

I especially love the third photo where a lot of tadpoles are flocking with the reflection of the sun. Very powerful image of life in spring!
Have a beautiful day!
